MCU Launches New Website

Katie Jansen-Larson, Executive Director of Metropolitan Congregations United, announced today that MCU has launched a new website as part of it's efforts to encourage civic engagement.  "This new website can serve as a hub for interfaith activists across the city who want to become more involved in issues like education, immigration reform, mass transit, healthcare, and workforce development."

The new website, which was designed in coordination with MCU's partner, the Gamaliel Foundation, showcases the work that MCU has been engaging in for decades.

"I think it's a real step forward for us, and hopeuflly will allow MCU to reach out to a new generation of activists."  Central to MCU's message is that every citizen has the right, and the responsibility, to take part in the democratic process, to become aware of the issues that affect him/her, to identify solutions, and to develop relationships with the policymakers who can bring about change.  The relaunch of MCU's website continues to fulfill that central message by providing a new outlet for citizens to connect with the democratic process and become aware of the issues.

Along with the new website, MCU launched a presence on the two major social media websites: Facebook and Twitter.
