Workforce Development
MCU Leaders work for the passage of local ordinances and project-based Workforce Development Agreements, which will establish apprenticeship training and workforce diversity public works construction contracts.
Our hope is:
1. to provide jobs for city residents, women, and people of color in construction trades.
2. to present young men and women opportunities beyond a high school diploma, knowing they can enter an apprenticeship program and have a shot at a well-paid job.
If you or any other members of your congregation are interested in working in any of these issue areas, please contact your Core Team chair or the MCU Office at (314) 367-3484.
